Lay Responder Courses ADULT CPR This class gives individuals in the workplace and community the skills necessary to recognize and provide basic care for breathing and cardiac emergencies until medical personnel arrive. Price includes: Participants manual and breathing barrier. Participants will receive an American Red Cross Certificate for Adult CPR (valid for 1yr). Student to Instructor Ratio: 12:1. Length of course: 4 hours. Click here to watch Adult_CPR.mov (mov - 5.2MB) STANDARD FIRST AID with ADULT CPR Class participants will learn to recognize and provide basic care for injuries and sudden illness, as well as skills to perform Adult CPR. Cost includes: Participants manual and breathing barrier. Participants will receive an American Red Cross Certificate for Standard First Aid (valid for 3 years) along with Adult CPR (valid for 1 year). Student to Instructor Ratio: 12:1. Length of course: 6 hours. Take a First Aid / CPR Quiz CHILD / INFANT CPR Upon successful completion, participants will have the skills necessary to provide basic care for breathing and cardiac emergencies to infants and children up to 8 years old until more advanced medical personnel arrive. Cost includes: Participants manual and breathing barrier. Participants will receive an American Red Cross Certificate for Infant and Child CPR (valid for 1 year)Student to Instructor Ratio: 12:1. Length of course: 6 hours. CA CHILD CARE: CPR & PEDIATRIC FIRST AID This course provides training for daycare providers in pediatric first aid, injury prevention, and to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies. When combined with California Child Care: Preventative Health and Safety it meets the legal requirements of the California Health and Safety Code (AB 243).. Ratio: up to 10:1. Length of course, 8 hours. Part 1 of 2 CA CHILD CARE: PREVENTATIVE HEALTH & SAFETY This course provides training for daycare providers to prevent infectious diseases, care for ill children and check for immunizations in the child care setting. When combined with California Child Care: CPR and Pediatric First Aid it meets the legal requirements of the California Health and Safety Code (AB 243). . Ratio: up to 10:1. Length of course, 8 hours. Part 2 of 2 PROFESSIONAL RESCUER COURSES EMERGENCY RESPONSE A comprehensive course designed for training first responders. The course follows the 1995 US DOT First Responder National Standard Curriculum and meets ECC Guidelines. CPR / AED FOR THE PROFESSIONAL RESCUER For participants who “have a duty to respond” in an emergency and need to use more advanced techniques. Course includes basic CPR skills for adults, children, and infants; two-rescuer CPR training; use of a resuscitation mask, a bag-valve mask, and an automated external defibrillator (AED) for victims of sudden cardiac arrest. Students will receive a certificate valid for two years in CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Note: Lifeguards will receive certificates in CPR/AED for Lifeguards valid for one year. Cost includes: Participants manual and pocket mask included. Student to Instructor Ratio 10:1. 6 hours PREVENTING DISEASE TRANSMISSION / OXYGEN ADMINISTRATION FOR THE PROFESSIONAL RESCUER (PDT/ TXO2) Preventing Disease Transmission gives individuals the understanding of how diseases transmission occurs, diseases of greatest concern, precautions to prevent disease transmission, and what to do if an exposure occurs. Oxygen Administration for the Professional Rescuer provides individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care in a breathing emergency using breathing devices. Cost includes: Participants Manual and Pocket Mask. Student to Instructor Ratio: 10:1. Length of course: 5 hours. PREVENTING DISEASE TRANSMISSION/ AUTOMATED EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATION (PDT/ AED) How disease transmission occurs, diseases of greatest concern, precautions to prevent disease transmission, and what to do if an exposure occurs. Automated External Defibrillation teaches the skills needed to provide care for cardiac arrest using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Cost includes: Participants Manual and Pocket Mask.
